The notion of Consistency High / Low coupling indicates that two applications must communicate with each other in a simple and effective, but that the dependency between these two applications is minimal (ideally none). This allows to remove a block to replace it without disturbing the rest of SI.

The Information System can be compared to a city neighbourhood, if it is well built and very urbanized, it is possible to demolish a building in the heart without jeopardizing the entire area and replace or build another building, connecting the new building with different exchange networks: access roads, electricity, sewage, etc.. Urbanization is thus to create an agile, flexible and scalable IS.

FIRMWARE DEVELOPMENT (FOR CLIENT-SERVER-BASED INFORMATION KIOSK IN VILLAGES AND DISTRICTS.)

Several ambitious E-governance initiative of Government of India (GoI) which is being implemented in all Districts and all related villages of the state using Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for convenience and transparency to citizens in availing various services of the Government and Private Sectors under a single roof at their door steps using an e- platform. The services are delivered via counters known as CSC (Common Service Center) kiosks in Rural Areas and kiosks in urban areas and also online via gov.in websites.

Hence, these counters provide services related to various departments in an integrated and easily accessible manner to people residing in rural as well as urban areas without any need for running around in government offices. The project has been operational since 2005.

Initially it was functioning through a Client Server based Application Software developed by Department of IT&C. In 2010, the old Client Server Application was migrated to Web-based on-line applications across all districts. Recently, a new generic module has been added to those Kiosk and  portal which allows end to end application and delivery of "Digitally Signed Certificates" such as Bonafide, Caste, Income, Solvency etc.

Our Kiosk Management Software is a proven, highly secure COTS product developed inhouse and utilized on hundreds of government and commercial kiosk projects worldwide. The software consists of a versatile and secure kiosk client component and a comprehensive server component designed for managing large and geographically dispersed networks of connected kiosk clients.

CITI Kiosk Client software manages the graphical user interface (UI) and day-to-day operation of the kiosk, shared workstation or any compatible interactive display device. It provides user-friendly access to all multimedia content via its secure browser interface. With Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser at its core, it has an open HTML/XML-based architecture providing seamless Internet/Intranet integration. It provides enhanced functionality for the user to securely browse both local and web-based content, including easy-to-use navigation and control buttons (Home, Back, Forward, Page Up/Down, Volume, Keyboard, Language, Zoom, Print and Exit). It provides a popup onscreen keyboard for data entry via the touchscreen or mouse, and enables the user to hide and re-display the onscreen keyboard for optimum viewing.

The Client supports dynamic HTML, client-server applications and the full range of scripted web-based processes. It can also shell out to custom programs or multimedia presentations, and allows the kiosk to poll one or more remote servers for updated content/software on a regularly scheduled basis. It automatically detects when the kiosk is not in active use and switches to its own "screensaver" attract loop mode. It then displays variable multimedia content and eye-catching graphics to inform and invite passersby to use the kiosk.

CITI's Client is also designed for seamless remote management via CITI Server, the secure kiosk server component, or CITI Cloud, our hosted full-service management portal. CITI Kiosk Client is available for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Android, is compatible with both thick and thin client configurations, and can be used in either a traditional or virtual machine environment.

The CITI Kiosk Server software is an enterprise level software solution for managing devices running the CITI Kiosk Client. It is a password secured web portal that serves as the single point of entry to help customers remotely manage, monitor and maintain geographically diverse kiosk clients for proper health and operation. It contains a powerful reporting engine able to run on demand reports to identify usage trends, kiosk activity, web sites visited and session duration. GPS APPLICATION DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The integration of communication technologies such as radio frequency identification (RFID), global positioning system (GPS), general packet radio system (GPRS), and geographic information system (GIS) with a camera are constructed for solid waste monitoring system. The aim is to improve the way of responding to customer’s inquiry and emergency cases and estimate the solid waste amount without any involvement of the truck driver. The proposed system consists of RFID tag mounted on the bin, RFID reader as in truck, GPRS/GSM as web server, and GIS as map server, database server, and control server. The tracking devices mounted in the trucks collect location information in real time via the GPS. This information is transferred continuously through GPRS to a central database. The users are able to view the current location of each truck in the collection stage via a web-based application and thereby manage the fleet. The trucks positions and trash bin information are displayed on a digital map, which is made available by a map server. Thus, the solid waste of the bin and the truck are being monitored using the developed system.

 

ITEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES

A. Radio Frequency Identification

 RFID is a generic term that is designed to enable readers to capture data on tags and transmit it to a computer system without any physical connection. The auto-ID technologies have been used to reduce the amount of time and labor needed to input data manually and to improve data accuracy unlike conventional inventory systems. RFID technology is used in a wide range of applications worldwide including automotive, contactless payments, laundry, library, livestock, pharmaceutical, retail supply chain management and ticketing. With extensive research and development, RFID process system takes a step further by adding a new application category. RFID with integrated technologies, the proposed system would provide real time truck tracking and bin monitoring system.

 

B. Global Position System

GPS is a satellite-based navigation system formed by satellites placed into the orbit to record locations on the earth. The satellites periodically emit radio signal to GPS receivers to calculate distance and to compute two-dimensional or three-dimensional position. Today, GPS is extensively being used in motor vehicle for providing emergency road side assistance, determining the vehicle’s position on an electronic map display and helping drivers to keep track of their position. Modern systems automatically create a route and give turn-by-turn directions to designated locations. GPS in this intelligent solid waste system is used for tracking the position of the truck and bin location.

 

C. GSM/GPRS Technology

GPRS is developed from the existing GSM system and can be associated with the INTERNET. It provides a link between mobile users and data network as well as high-speed wireless IP. GPRS used packet switching technology that can take up a number of wireless channels to transfer data at a rate up to 160 Kbps. Using GPRS technology; users can be always on line and pay the bill by flow. GPRS network has a wide coverage and can truly achieve real-time sending and receiving.

 

D. Geographic Information System

GIS integrates software and hardware for collecting, managing, analyzing the data and showing all forms of geographically information in a computer-based system. It helps to analyze data visually and look patterns, trends, and relationships that might not be visible in tabular or written form. A GIS is different from other information systems, because it integrates common database operations such as query and statistical analysis with the advantages of visual and geographic analysis through maps. Thus, GIS with the aid of control server, solid waste bin can be detect and monitors.

 

 

ISLAMIC BANKING SERVICES

Islamic banking is banking or banking activity that is consistent with the principles of sharia (Islamic law) and its practical application through the development of Islamic economics. As such, a more correct term for Islamic banking is sharia compliant finance.

Sharia prohibits acceptance of specific interest or fees for loans of money (known as riba, or usury), whether the payment is fixed or floating. Investment in businesses that provide goods or services considered contrary to Islamic principles (e.g. pork or alcohol) is also haraam ("sinful and prohibited"). Although these prohibitions have been applied historically in varying degrees in Muslim countries/communities to prevent un-Islamic practices, only in the late 20th century were a number of Islamic banks formed to apply these principles to private or semi-private commercial institutions within the Muslim community.

As of 2014, sharia compliant financial institutions represented approximately 1% of total world assets. By 2009, there were over 300 banks and 250 mutual funds around the world complying with Islamic principles and as of 2014 total assets of around $2 trillion were sharia-compliant. According to Ernst & Young, although Islamic banking still makes up only a fraction of the banking assets of Muslims, it has been growing faster than banking assets as a whole, growing at an annual rate of 17.6% between 2009 and 2013, and is projected to grow by an average of 19.7% a year to 2020.
